Global Community Miners Forum:
Miners Mentoring Miners
Our Work
The Artisanal Mining Advocates Global Community Miners Forum is an innovative platform designed to foster dialogue and mentorship between miners worldwide. We operate under the belief that the most effective solutions come from those with firsthand experience in the field. Thus, our motto: Miners Mentoring Miners.

This international forum is devoted to connecting miners, from novice to seasoned professionals, from across the globe, enabling them to share experiences, exchange best practices, and tackle common issues together. We reach out to national chairmen and representatives of the Artisanal and Small Scale Mining (ASM) sector in various countries, inviting them to join our community and collaborate in the shared goal of improving ASM conditions worldwide.

In our forum, members share vital data about their work, including the number of miners, locations, minerals being mined, and the biggest challenges and successes they face. This enables a beneficial exchange of information where miners, who may not have the resources to travel and see practices in other countries, can still learn from one another. It fosters a bench marking process that aids in the continuous development and improvement of mining practices.

In addition, the forum serves as a platform for open discussion about broader issues impacting the ASM sector, such as legalisation, health issues, and mining techniques. We believe that open, miner-to-miner dialogue is the most potent instrument for positive change in ASM mining, enabling miners to navigate the complexities of the sector, including legality issues and the informality of many ASM operations.
Beyond the forum's current offerings, we continually strive to expand and adapt to serve our members better. We welcome feedback, suggestions, and new ideas to enhance the effectiveness and scope of our work.
